The Edwin Carter Museum on the east edge of downtown Breckenridge is a charming little museum housed in the original log cabin of Edwin Carter. Carter was a multitalented guy and was in Breck for its early days. If you are exploring Breck during a visit, this is a fun museum to check out. You’ll learn about Carter’s naturalist passion and his part in the gold mining history of the area. Even if you linger over the exhibits, this is a quick 30 minutes Museum stop.
Locals hint: for free parking, go a couple blocks uphill to the east. The museum is at 111 N. Ridge St.
