Finding Gold in Colorado Historic Sites & Modern Prospecting Honey Holes

Another good source of info on prospecting in metro Denver

A friend of mine has done his own blogging about places to go digging in metro Denver and he has some great spots to tell you about. Red Wilcox is the co-inventor/owner of the Gold Cube, Banjo Pan and the inventor of the Gold-n-Sand hand pump/dredge. (Note: I have an affiliate marketing relationship with Gold Cube since I’m such a big fan.) You can see his blog on his website about his products at www.goldcube.net/blog/

The locations he mentions are the highlights of his many years of prospecting in Metro-Denver and he is being very generous to share his expertise with us. Go take a look at his recent posts to learn about great hot spots I haven’t even mentioned in my blog (often because I’ve never been there…Red has a LOT more experience than me)

By the way, to read my review of the Gold Cube, go here:

I’m also really glad to see him posting about prospecting in metro Denver because, after 27 years of living in town, I sold my house and moved into the mountains. I’m sure I’ll still get out digging in town as it’s a great way to spend time with friends like Red! However, you can expect to see more from me about mountain prospecting in the future…which is good right?! If YOU want to spend more time prospecting, you may want a copy of my guidebook Finding Gold in Colorado: Prospector’s Edition; get it here.
